Meet the visionary,

Nikki

Hi, I’m Nikki Blackshear, co-founder of The City.

I’ve been in the industry for 16 years. I knew early on that I wanted to do more than just work behind the chair. Through my journey I’ve had the honor to travel all over the US working as a Redken Artist, sharing my passion with fellow stylists. While teaching for Redken, I quickly realized that helping others become successful absolutely fueled me. I knew then that I didn’t want to stop at education.

Our industry was screaming for change, a change that supported each other’s successes. A change that helped industry professionals become successful business owners. I wanted to be THAT change. The City started as a dream but was built on pure passion and love of this industry. The City provides business ownership without the major risk of a traditional brick and mortar shop. We are changing lives one studio at a time and it’s an absolutely honor to be apart of each and every journey.
